The KC Bertrand Contracting Knights are City Champions!!

The U11A KC Bertrand Contracting Knights are City Champions! 

The Knights put together an impressive regular season, finishing in third place in the U11A standings with an 11-3-6 record.  They also won the first two local tournaments of the year, bringing home the title in the Westfort Ice Breaker in November, and the Kevin Kozar Christmas Classic in December.

After going undefeated in the Gold division round robin, the Knights got past the North End Flames in the semifinal with a 3-1 win, setting up a championship final matchup with the Current River Comets, who had finished the regular season in first place.  The Knights would go on to flex their muscle in the final, with a decisive 3-0 win to bring home the title.

The defensive-minded Knights allowed only 2 goals in the playoffs, with three shutouts by Carter Overmeer, who was solid between the pipes.  The Knights' scoring in the playoffs was led by captain Jayson Stosic-Bertrand with three goals, including 2 game winners.  Not far behind, with two goals each, were Ryder Daniels-Wakefield and Carter Galbraith.  Connor Monteith and Gabe Pretto also found the back of the net, displaying the Knights' scoring depth.

The Knights would like to congratulate the Current River Comets players and coaches on an amazing year, and a hard fought battle in the championship.  Congratulations as well to the remainder of the U11A teams, players and coaches on an exciting season!
