The KC Whalers came home from Minneapolis with some hardware on American Thanksgiving weekend, after a thrilling overtime win in the championship game!
Belated congratulations go out to the KC Whalers, who completed a successful championship run in the Minneapolis Cup...the largest hockey tournament in Minnesota!
The Whalers swept the table in the Squirt C Division, first topping the Minneapolis Orange 11-1, and then Edina Black 7-2.
In the Championship final, they went up against Stillwater. The game went to overtime tied at 4, and Angelo Tsekouras scored the winner while shorthanded!
The Whalers went on to build on their big win by being the only KC team to make the A pool playoffs in the KC Classic a couple of weeks later...keep up the great play, Whalers!
