KC Atom Whalers are the Neebing Tournament Champs!

Congratulations to the KC Atom Whalers, who took first place in the Neebing Tournament this weekend!!  The Whalers went undefeated, with a 6-0-1 record over four days.  After defeating the host Neebing Wildhawks in sudden death overtime in the semifinals, the Whalers went on to beat the TBWHA Queens 3-1 to claim their second championship win so far this season.  Way to go, Whalers!


In other tournament news this past weekend, the Novice Bruins played in the first full Novice tournament of the year at Neebing, and after going 3-3 in the round robin, qualified for the B final, where they lost a close battle with Dryden.  Congrats, Bruins...well done!



Up the highway in Dryden, the KC PW Canadiens faced a tough round robin draw, facing the top three teams in the twelve team pool.  The Canadiens made the C pool final after a thrilling semifinal shootout win, where they ultimately lost 2-1 to the Dryden Stingers in a hard-fought heartbreaker.  Great work, Canadiens!
