KC Devils bring home gold from Minnesota!

The KC Devils went down to Minneapolis (Eden Prairie), and celebrated Family Day weekend in style by bringing home the Prairie Madness Squirt C Championship!

Despite missing key players, the Devils went down South with something to prove, and they didn't disappoint!  The boys opened with a strong effort on the heels of a six-hour drive, winning their opener 4-1 over St. Louis Park in a tight game that was still in doubt until the final minutes.

Next up was a tough Chaska Chanhassen team coming off a 10-0 win in their opener, but the Devils kept up their strong play by flexing their offensive muscle.  After falling behind early, the Devils caught fire, ultimately winning 8-4 having gone into the third up by only one. 

In the final, the Devils took on the Rosemount Irish, who brought with them a huge, enthusiastic crowd.  Despite again falling behind early, the boys rallied and never gave up.  It was a physical battle and an electric atmosphere, and the game went right down to the wire, with the Devils emerging 3-2 victors in a nailbiter.

Huge congrats to the boys and the coaching staff on a big win...the Devils will hope to keep their hot play going into the playoffs!
