Clayton Waboose is the U15A TBMHA Goalie of the Year

Clayton Waboose of the KC Sabres is the TBMHA U15A Goalie of the Year!!

At the conclusion of the 2021/22 TBMHA season, the league's coaching staffs were polled to choose award recipients in a number of categories.  It came as no surprise to the staff, players, and families of the KC Sabres that their stoic, stalwart netminder was named as the league's top keeper.

Clayton's calm, quiet confidence while patrolling the crease was on display all season, as he posted eye-popping stats in leading his team to the TBMHA finals.  Clayton posted a 25-10-10 record during the season, including 8 shutouts.  With an excellent 1.76 Goals Against Average and .920 save percentage, Clayton backstopped the Sabres to their most successful season ever.  Season highlights included stopping a penalty shot in overtime on the way to a thrilling shootout win in the championship final of the Norwest Tournament.

"Clayton was an absolute pleasure to have on the Sabres over the past two seasons.  His attitude, work ethic, dedication to his team, and individual improvement were second to none.  Clayton leads by example with his preparation, work ethic, calm & cool demeanour and on-ice performance.  This award was well deserved, and the coaching staff wishes him all the best in his hockey career and future endeavours." -- Nick Parry, Sabres' Head Coach

The entire Sabres' family wishes Clayton a hearty congratulations, as well as best of luck in the upcoming U18 season!
