U13AA Sabres win bronze in Minneapolis!

Congratulations to the U13AA KC Sabres!! 

The Sabres celebrated American Thanksgiving with a strong weekend in Blaine at the Super Rink Spectacular.  After kicking off the weekend with a 2-2 tie against Chaska/Chanhassen, the Sabres followed with wins over OMGHA White (5-3) and the MVI Mavericks (8-4).  Their undefeated record in the preliminary round earned them a spot in the bronze medal game, and a rematch against Chaska/Chanhassen.  This time, the Sabres would finish on top with an exciting 4-3 win to bring home the third place trophy! 

All told, an impressive NINE different Sabres found the back of the net over the weekend.  The Sabres defence played exceptionally well, topped off by a strong performance in goal, repeatedly denying their opponents with incredible saves.

Way to go Sabres players and coaches...your hard work and team commitment paid off!!
